A stunning view and a wide variety of beverages as well as gastronomic virtues of Philippine Cuisine are some of the things Nipa Hut is known for. For two decades now, local patrons continue to troop over to this establishment nestled a top of a hill and a strategically located at the heart of the bustling Ortigas district Nipa Hut serves an after work heaven for employees of businesses in the vicinity. Nipa Hut Restaurant was put up by a very enterprising lady by the name of Zenaida C. Victorino. Working in a bank initially, and passing by that vacant lot along Capt. Henry P. Javier St. before work each day,she built that dream in her head that one day she would put up that Restaurant/watering hole right on that location. With hardwork and a lot of perseverance, and even with all odds against her, she proceeded and set up the first of what would later be a land mark in the city of Pasig. It was September of 1982. This newly opened Nipa Hut had a small covered dining area made of bamboo and Nipa, chair and tables scattered all through the rough terrain behind it. People love this provincial type setting and soon flooded in to the amazement of the owner. Today Nipa Hut has grown many fruits. |

Nipa Hut serves Filipino cuisine that never goes out of style. They are renowned for their sizzling plate of sisig. Other succulent appetizers includes the Crispy Pata, calamares, gambas, sizzling pusit, various barbecue specialties and new comers like the sizzling tuna sisig, squid ala pobre, chicharon nipa, kobe chicken, to name a few. |
